Fundraising & Events
Our Centre and the subsidised therapies it provides, costs
over £120,000 a year to run. We are totally self-funding,
relying entirely on the generosity of the general public,
local companies and charitable trusts, and the tireless
fundraising efforts put in by our dedicated staff and members.
You can help us by way of making a donation, or by supporting
one of our forthcoming events. We gratefully receive donations
of any size. Cheques should be made payable to Mercia MS
Therapy Centre and sent to our address shown on the contacts
page. Please make sure you enclose your name and address
with any donation so that we can send an acknowledgement. You can also donate via our website by clicking the 'donate' button found at the top of this page and on the contacts page.
We would welcome any opportunity to talk to any organisations including schools, groups, clubs and churches to raise awareness of what we do. Please let us know if you would like someone to come to your meeting or event and we will arrange a convenient time.
If you are thinking of holding an Event of your own in support of Mercia MS Therapy Centre, we can help with posters, publicity, raffle prizes etc. to help make your event go with a swing.
Gift
Aid
If you are a tax payer, we can reclaim 28p back from the
Inland Revenue on every £1 you donate. All you have
to do is send a signed and dated statement with your donation
stating that you are a UK tax payer and agree to gift aid
being claimed on all donations you make to Mercia MS Therapy
Centre. Alternatively, ask your employer about payroll giving.
Buy on-line from well-known stores, such as Marks
& Spencer, Amazon, MFI, Comet, Iceland, Littlewoods
and loads more.
For every purchase you make we will receive a small donation
(usually about 5% of the sale) from the retailer.

Volunteering
To an organisation like Mercia MS Therapy Centre, the role
of volunteers is a vital aspect of the overall management
of the organisation. Their support, be it as a helper at
the Centre or as a fundraiser, is greatly appreciated by
our members and staff.
If you feel you have something to offer, and want to be
associated with a friendly and progressive charity serving
the local community, please give us a call and come in for
a chat.
Appropriate training is given to volunteers where needed.
We are currently looking for volunteers to join our fundraising committee, man our reception and operate our oxygen chambers.
We are also looking to recruit new Trustees.

sponsorship.
We are also seeking Marathon runners who have already booked
their own place, but haven't yet decided which charity they
wish to raise sponsorship for. We need you!
